Why Greenhouse?

NYU is at the heart of New York City, and the heart of all four season. Where can students rest regardless of these seasons?

Transforming the library rooftop with elements of nature fosters well-being, encourages breaks, and enhances productivity for a more effective study environment.

Changes we made:

  • Establish MAIN issue: Ken needs more areas, with elements of nature, to rest while studying to increase productivity.
  • More detailed persona that aligns with re-design.
  • HMW question that actually addresses the issue our persona, Ken, had.
  • Furniture and rooftop floor plan research
    • Researching the psychology/interaction of seating plans to promote relaxation.
